    *** Official Giga-byte SINXP1394/8SQ800 Thread ***

Mcurphy, I'm using the 5000 case so my layout should be the same. I am using 2 - 12" for my 2 hds' on the array, 1 - 12" for my bottom optical (burner), 1 - 18" 3 conector for my 2 top optical drives (DVD, CDROM) and a 10" for my floppy. All fit nicely. One word though, I wouldn't put your...

Ordered my SINXP1394 Ultra 2 today.......

Pretty much. If you use memory that will be auto set to 2-2-2-6 @400 mghz you can't get into the BIOS to change it.

Ordered my SINXP1394 Ultra 2 today.......

I am running the 1 gig twinx Corsair XMSLL on my 1394 and your right you can't get all the speed that that memory can produce, but close. I am running 2-3-2-6 @ 400mghz and all Corsair claims is 2-2-2-6. So you see it is still fast. The problem is, is you have to have some slower memory...

sinxp1394 - Have to reset to be able to boot on raid

Everyone is getting tha "DPVRM Failure" on this board. What we are trying to find out is, is it really working and just giving a false message because the fan and led work so it might be working. The trouble is, how do you find out. MrMeyhem, I also have 2 WD SE 120s' running in raid 0. Mine...

    SINXP from DLJ Systems

With the C2 you "should" be alright. That memory is 2-3-3-6, so if the motherboards' BIOS reads it as that you should be fine.

    SINXP from DLJ Systems

Nope, got mine from newegg and it's the A0 rev.1 board. Be aware that the board will not post with auto settings for the memory if using 512mb Corsair XMS 3200LL. You have to stick some slower memory in and get into the BIOS and switch the timings to 2-3-2-6. Other brands of memory might be...

Well the flash went fine, but it didn't change the memory problems. I'll stick the DPVRM in tonight and see if it works.

SINXP users, what are you monitoring cpu temp in XP with?

Hey Puff1, I have almost the same setup, but I have a 2.8 so I don't have to worry about the HT. I'm running the twin matched set of 2- 512mb Corsair 3200LL at 2-3-2-6. Isn't it a pain that it won't post at 2-2-2-6. I am running 150 fsb (3.14) and 400mghz memory and my temp only goes up to...

Stupid me. I never even thought to check my BIOS verson. I just checked and I'm running F2 and there is a F4 out. I am going to flash mine and see if it fixes the memory problem. I'll let you know how it goes. By the way, my board is revision 1 which is A0 stepping, but I'm not running a 3...

I think it has something to do with the way it seats in the mb. Some people have gotten thiers to work "intermitttently" by wiggling it. Also if you put the retainer clip over the card and you want to remove it, you will probably have to cut it with a pair of wire cutters.

Ordered my SINXP1394 Ultra 2 today.......

I am running 2 512meg Corsair XMS 3200s' (the matched set) on my SINXP1394 and here is how my setup went. First off the auto timings in the BIOS for the Corsair XMS 3200LL were too aggressive. I couldn't even get to the BIOS to change them. I finally tried to stick some old 2100 in and bingo...

    Gigabyte GA-SINXP1394 Problems

While in the BIOS hit Ctrl and F1 at the same time. Gigabyte likes to hide it.
