    Intel Skylake / Kaby Lake

    No, not between DDR3 and DDR4. http://techgage.com/news/as-it-happens-memory-speed-still-doesnt-matter-much/

    Asus Rog Swift PG278Q

Totally wasted this monitor's potential purchase incentive by attaching G-SYNC. If I wanted G-SYNC, I would've just bought the module separately. But now that they tacked it on, this monitor is now $800 instead of $600. I suggest everyone to read the TFTCentral's monitor review here. The...

[GURU3D] Did EVGA just Steal the Rivatuner RTSS design concept into PrecisionX 15 ?

Spoken like a true EVGA fanboy. I love how you totally shrug this breach of contract and say there's no problem. Have you ever been a victim of theft? EVGA blatantly plagiarized from unwinder: blackened23's train of thought: "The developer is an asshole anyway, who cares, no big deal."...

    R260/270/280/290/290x Review thread

Enthuasiast != Gamer You sure are a real enthusiast with that 4.5ghz oc on air. I bet that's because it's quiet right? Whatever, I'm out of this thread. Too many whiners that have 1:1 K/D ratios with their oh-so-efficient, eco-mode, save-the-whales GTXs. Thread crapping is not...

    R260/270/280/290/290x Review thread

What a joke. All of these complaints about the noise/power consumption/random irrelevant nonsense to defend their overpriced purchases because they shot themselves in the foot for not waiting. The 100 dollars I'll save from buying a 290 could even get me a waterblock, let alone pay for my power...

    [videocardz] Radeon R9 290 priced at €349 (US$400?)

Still better than buying a GTX780 at 499 All you're paying for is the name-brand, nothing else.

AT members choice: GTX 680 or 7970 (ghz) ?

I know you're really fond of Nvidia but you need to let it go and just face the facts; they lost lost this generation and the poll shows it. I was really proud of Nvidia last generation and I still love my 580 Lightning Xtreme but this time around, they lost, plain and simple. MSI couldn't...

AMD's GPU Q3 2012 marketshare - 14% declines across the board to NVIDIA

Awwww yeah, $800+ high-end graphic cards here we go! I had no gripes paying 1200 dollars back in January for two 7970s because it was the fastest at the time. And it's funny because it STILL IS. If Nvidia can do the same thing like they did with their 580, I'll have no regrets buying their...

AMD "Never Settle" 12.11 Driver - benchmarks are in!

It's even funnier when you add the fact that the money that they save from using less power is easily overwritten by the premium they paid for their GTX680. There is no Nvidia offering that can beat the price/performance of the 7970. Let alone a 340 dollar 7970. Nothing.

AMD "Never Settle" 12.11 Driver - benchmarks are in!

No, AMD is Ferrari. http://www.amd.com/us/aboutamd/corporate-information/sponsorships/ferrari/Pages/ferrari.aspx This in itself is already enough reason for me to support them.

so why buy the 6xx series ? (august '12)

Money is no object when I need the best performance. I do agree with your entire post but to clarify, the main reasons I went with the 7970s were actually: 1) More Memory - I should've waited for the 4GB versions but I didn't think I would hit the VRAM limit so easily when ramping up the...

Does Nvidia choose not to compete on price?

I would have to agree... it is pretty underwhelming. Don't get me wrong, the GTX680 is a fine card but the fact it wasn't flat out dominating the 7970 after being three months late was not appealing. It would've been better had it been the GK110. It looks actually worse if you compare it...
