Loaded ATI driver, now bluescreen, and I can't even get into safemode

I've never had this happen before. Windows XP. I went to ATI's website, downloaded the driver for a Radeon 8500LE, and everything kind of works. I reboot, and as usual, the screen is at the default 800X600 or so. I change it to 1024X768, BOOM...bluescreen. I reboot...and I try to get into...

Fairly Hot Deal: Sony 36" Wega

This is for the non HDTV model. KP-36FS100 I bought a Sony Wega last week at Circuit City for $1149.00, but it included a matching Sony Stand that was $199.00 for free. Delivery charge of $40.00 was also free. This is the promotional deal they're running. Anyways, Fry's has the TV...

Connecting Notebook to a Desktop computer

Instead of using a computer screen to read contents of my Windows 98 desktop machine, is it possible to connect/hook my Windows XP Notebook to serve as a screen to my Win98? That way, I wouldn't need to invest a computer monitor. Thanks in advance.

    Fry's 1/17 LA Times Ad

I picked up the Age of Mythology Collectors ed. today for 19.99. I almost bought it earlier this week, but I couldn't bear to spend $54 on another game I won't have the time to play...as usual. I have about 10 games sitting around that I haven't finished. Actually, I haven't finished a game...

Staples B&M- Clie,Visor, HP Scanner YMMV

well, Handspring has stopped making visors ever since they came out with the TREO. So any Visor you will buy now will be equivalent to an old palm. Actually, the entire Palm OS lineup has become pretty stagnant lately, even with the introduction of the Tungsten. Pocket PCs are all the rage...

How do I repair a bad sector on hard disk?

When I format my laptop hard drive, it'll stop a little ways through, and say, "TRYING TO RECOVER ALLOCATION UNIT" followed by a number that I'm assuming is the byte. Anyways, how does this happen? I know it's a little part of the drive itself...is the physical drive itself corrupted? Or is...

Man, I can't stand this noise. It's bad enough the dsl modem is making the high pitched whine. I recently switched out my D-link Router for a Linksys one, and the noise is worse than ever before. Is there such a big difference in noise between manufacturers? I know that the D-link 604 I...

Kingston Type II PCMIA - 2 GB Datapak $79 NEW

I'm not sure if it is such a good deal...it's an ALRIGHT deal I guess. I checked ebay, and comparable items (like the toshiba ones) go for around $100.00. I'm not even sure what I need 2Gb for, since I can burn cd's off my laptop....I don't think I've EVER had to transfer or backup a file...
