This is a question in order to help so someone answer this question before trying this. If you use as5, it takes a while for it to reach it's best performance level, so should the computer be turned on for a while even though there is no response from the monitor and as long as the cpu fan...
Here's a review on the gigabyte 6600 gt pci express, which shouldn't be too far off from the agp version you are considering.
Seems like a great deal to me =D
Isn't the slot below your video card left open, allowing the hot air from the silencer to blow out of your case? I guess I just think it's weird that your card would be hotter with the silencer installed.
Yeah, I'd seriously consider only having 512 ram, and buying the 6800 OC or 6600 gt, because you'd have $256.73 for a video card if you only had one stick of ram. but you probably don't give a crap.
Here's a power supply and case that combined will cost (shipping included) $69.75, and the power supply has 27 amps on the 12 volt as apposed to the 16 amps on the power supply you intend to get. but it's not a big saver, and probably more of a hastle considering it's not from new egg like you...
I bet that if you order all of that stuff at once you will not have to pay that much shipping price, and with the difference, you could get either a geforce 6800 OC for $249 or a geforce 6600 gt agp for $222.75
Oh and check out this bad boy
Well if they make an AGP version of this card, then an AGP motherboard would definitely seem like a good option for now.

EH??? how do you incorporate so many cans into your case. Isn't it just a confused air tornado inside your computer then. Explain your fan placements or try to please =D
