    New Build

If thats US dollars, very overpriced compared to what you could order from www.newegg.com, but you'd have to put together yourself and load the os. If you can't do that, buy a case of beer and invite a computer buddy over to do it for you.

    Parts list for computer builds

lol, yeah, I'm bordering that. Just don't want to look like a newegg page where you've got 300 items for DDR2 800 or 1000 cases.

    Parts list for computer builds

Yeah, the Xigma is compatible with both intel and amd, but you really want the retention bracket that comes with the Dark Knight. The retention bracket isn't used on AMD boards thats kinda why I made the distinction.

    Parts list for computer builds

Decided to put together are parts list. The parts list contains what, IMO, are the most relevant parts. I tried to choose parts that people will most likely put into their system at each price point. I want to avoid adding too much stuff and bloating the list and losing scope. I'm looking for...

It looks fine, the Asus PT6 to me is just a difference in brand preference. I wouldn't really touch a thing.

    New Build

The 940BE is $25 more expensive and a good deal faster. Upgrade. DDR3 board and memory cost a lot more money while providing little benefit in games. However, if you want to run your 4870x2 in quadfire than stick with what you have. Whats your budget and what resolution do you want to...

    Looking to build new PC

I personally would avoid an i7 system as it hard to get under $1000 without the bare minimum. However, if you can live with teh 4830 it the platform with the longest future by far. Bearing that I'd go with Phenom II 940BE build.
