    Radeon 5850 Power Connectors

Cool, thx. I'll prob end up hooking up all 3 then. I just wanted to see if there are any known issues with "too much" power for a card if I were to plug in all 3. The last time I built a system was prob 5-6 years ago, and I never came across this GPU power issue back then :)

    Radeon 5850 Power Connectors

Hi, I have an ECS P55H motherboard and it has a power connector next to the primary PCI express slot. The manual states that this is so that the graphics card has more power. I also have a Radeon 5850, which itself has two power connectors. Do I need to hook up all 3 power connectors...

    Question on LCD response times

Response times have nothing to do with images per second. Response times measure how fast pixels can change. Furthemore, the current system of ranking response times is measured by best-case. So even though you'll see a 12ms response time, chances are that the actual average response time...

A64 4000+ for sale on newegg

What I'm interested in is if Intel will even fight for the top of the line chip. They are behind AMD. As far as I know, there is NO plans to release a chip which will compare with the speed of FX55. Intel will switch to dual core, which are *slower* at processing single threads (which most...

Getting a computer in a week, this all good?

I would reccommend this ram (got it for my comp): http://www.newegg.com/app/view...=20-145-480&depa=0 The antec neopower has a single 120mm fan. The fortron uses dual 80mm fans I believe (definetally not a single fan solution) Good luck.

Getting a computer in a week, this all good?

I just ordered parts for a comp on saturday. Some very similar components... Although I did go with the MSI NEO2 Plat and xp-90. If you're so worried about CPU temps, I think you should consider water cooling. Nforce is just better than the via chipset. I got the corsair value...

    Anandtech on IRC?

Just wondering if there's an active IRC chat going on with Anandtech. Found one for Tom's Hardware, but there wasn't much going on there (only like 3-5 people logged on and all afk). Although I suppose it was better than the Team Anandtech chat, where I was the only person in the room each...
