What HSF to use with Asus CUSL2-C?

Got a friend who is overclocking a P3 700 and needs better cooling then the stock HSF. Need to know what HSF fits this MB. The Alpha PAL6035 looks nice, does it fit well? Thanks.

IWill Slotket II settings on P3V4X ?????

I don't understand the temperature spikes, especially using the Pep66. You may want to reapply the Artic Silver and reseat the heatsink.

what MP3 cd player to get? (bye-bye ravemp 2300)

I just read the review for the Memorex. (Thanks for the link, was looking for a review of these) At the end of the review is this little note: Note: Some people have brought to my attention that units with a manufacture date of October 2000 or...

what MP3 cd player to get? (bye-bye ravemp 2300)

I will give a thumbs up on the Memorex. Granted it is the only MP3 player I have ever owned... I can't vouch for the battery life, I used the supplied car adaptor. The Memorex sounds great, supports ID3 tags and was only 130 bucks at Comp-USA

    Hard Drive problem while overclocking

Well I moved the D: drive off the UDMA66 controller and slaved it to one of the CDRom drives on the IDE controller. Everything is working great now at 933mhz and 1.65 volts. I guess it's either a flaky drive or the UDMA66 controller doesn't like the 2nd device on it. Just for kicks I removed...

    Hard Drive problem while overclocking

Yes, it is at the 1/4 divider so all the PCI devices are at 33. I have tried the drive as a master on the secondary UDMA66 contoller and it does the same thing. I guess I should try it on one of the IDE controllers and see if it acts up. The computer is rock solid besides this D: drive problem...

    Hard Drive problem while overclocking

My D: drive locks up my computer whenever I access it with a program or using Windows Explorer. This only happens when I overclock my 700E. The hardrive is a Maxtor 27 gig that is slaved to a Western Digital 40 gig on the Abit BE6-2 UDMA66 controller. I have defragged it, scanned it and checked...

    I think I got a good 700E

It's weird, they only go up a couple degrees. The highest I have seen after playing Q3 online for an hour or so is 37C. I have the old style Elight 7237 that I modified a bit to get better air flow thru. This Alpha heat sink is incredible, and I can't even hear it with the fan that comes with...

    I think I got a good 700E

Well I'm booting most of the way into windows at 1001mhz and 1.65V Adding more voltage doesn't seem to do much so it's probably my generic ram. Running great at 980 and 1.65 volts. I assembled the Alpha with the fan blowing in. The instructions showed it blowing out but I remember reading...

    I think I got a good 700E

I just got my Alpha Pep66 today and cranked up my new 700E to 933. I had it at 933 with the stock HSF but it would crash while acessing the D: drive. It turns out the heatsink wasn't the problem, I had errors on my D: drive. After running scan disk and defragging, the drive is working fine at...

    700E overclocking help

Wow, I fixed it!! The Vantec SI5 heatsink I was using came off my Celeron 366 that I have been running at 581. It didn't put much pressure on the 700 chip and my temps were in the mid to high 50C range just running at 700. I have a Pep66 on order but thought I would try the stock CPU that came...

    700E overclocking help

Yeah, I am sure I need more voltage. I am going to get a good HSF before I go higher. I am just confused what the alternating high/low tones that my MB is beeping. I have the PCI bus at 1/4 and AGP at 2/3, is there any problems at running a Geforce at 89mhz?

    700E overclocking help

I just got a retail SL45Y from mwave. I ran it at 100 bus speed for an hour then bumped it to 133 to see what it would do. I set the core volts at 1.70 and it posted and started going into windows. My motherboard started to beep at me, alternating high/low tones. I have no idea what the beeping...
