Let's see...how bout we crack this Nomad MP3 player open and UPGRADE

lung, if the format isn't FAT(16,32) or NTFS, any image clone would have to be done in raw format, which can produce less than precise results. it's certainly an idea though...one i wouldn't mind seeing attempted. Boobers, what do you mean by "standard"? Are we talking standard 2.5in HDD...

Let's see...how bout we crack this Nomad MP3 player open and UPGRADE

I am so close to copping the Nomad Jukebox 3, but 20GB?? What a paltry amount for an audiophile such as myself. And so, the question... What standard is the storage media on the Nomad Jukebox 3? I would love to take a phillips head to that sucker and upgrade to a more respectable storage...

*Crossing Fingers*....Will an Abit KT7-RAID handle an XP CPU?

Thanks for all of the replys. The urgency of this CPU purchase is secondary, as I must order a new hard drive immediately. I've decided to cop myself an Athlon-C 266 1.4 (100 x 14 because my chipset is kt133) From Insidious and Spankthru's link: KT7/KT7-RAID: 100MHz (200MHz DDR) FSB...

*Crossing Fingers*....Will an Abit KT7-RAID handle an XP CPU?

I'm looking to buy an XP 1700, but can't afford another motherboard just yet. According to Abit's site, my motherboard (KT7-RAID) only supports 200FSB processors up to 1.2GHz, and I can't find documentation on past BIOS updates. Can I get my (great) old motherboard to run an XP 1700?? Thanks

I need a comprehensive list of broadband availability in my state...

been to that site, and it's pretty nice. but what i'm really hoping for is a map where i can get a visual representation of what areas have broadband access. doing zipcode by zipcode is just too tedious.

I need a comprehensive list of broadband availability in my state...

Pretty self-explainatory. Northern VA is really the necessity here. Any help would be greatly appreciated, ie which companies (Cable/DSL) offer broadband access and where. Thanks in advance.

Adding drivers in device Manager using Win2kpro

Navigate to the device you want to update the driver for and right click on it. If this is a device that 2k detects and you only want to update the driver, click on "Properties">"Driver">"Update Driver"

Most stable AMD solution (MB, memory, and Sound)?

Excellente The 8K7A does in fact have integrated AC97 sound, which is sufficient for a box that isn't mine anyway To BuckleDownBen's question - like I said.. stability is paramount. I don't plan to be troubleshooting a relative's pc every weekend. Now I can raid the fridge when I visit, but...

Most stable AMD solution (MB, memory, and Sound)?

It will be a 2k box, but I'm still hesitant to spend $70 on a sound card for my mother. She doesn't care about sound at all. So any average sound card without 2k troubles is great for me. Again, stability is the most important part of this system..far above performance.

Most stable AMD solution (MB, memory, and Sound)?

Sound is not a concern on this system. Any decent PCI will do. I'm thinking Live! Value. As Jumpem asked, is there going to be a problem with the Epox and the Live! card?

Most stable AMD solution (MB, memory, and Sound)?

Thanks for the responses, folks. Especially the pointer to crucial.com. 256mb 2100 DDR for $49! I can live with that. Slightly off topic, but if you all have suggestions on a heatsink+fan combo for my little rig I'd appreciate that too...

Most stable AMD solution (MB, memory, and Sound)?

So no inherent stability issues with the AMD 760 chipset?

Most stable AMD solution (MB, memory, and Sound)?

I'm a bit out of the loop hardware-wise, what with the MCSE 2k studies... I'm looking for the most stable combination of Motherboard, memory, and Sound in the AMD arena. For the CPU I'll likely get a 266 1GHz Athlon, so the real quandry is in the chipset. I'd like to spend no more than $250...
