The rebate form you sent me is for the WD1200BBRTL model which is the 2MB...
Does anyone know where the serial number would be located for this drive? I'm guessing it's the series of numbers between the model number (SW240) and the Firmware ID: R304. It begins with 6GAT..... However, there are 2 labels on my drive, each with different numbers.
Thanks everyone for your suggestions. I did figure out what was causing the errors. I somehow wired the USB cables wrong. It never occurred to me that the CMOS Checksum error would indicate a wiring problem.
I just purchased the BG7 with a P41.6a. I've never been able to get past the beep and access the BIOS. The error I get is "CMOS cecksum error - Defaults Loaded". Then it would hang and not respond to the DEL, F1, or F2 key. I removed all the peripheral cards,
