    Who's getting a Gamecube?

Well I went out and bought an import Gamecube with Luigi's Mansion and Waverace. Luigi is an excellent game. It does NOT get boring after an hour. Ive been playing for about 10hours and am hooked. The graphics are very next-generation and the gameplay is just plain fun. I know everyone...

    Nvidia tactics?

Regardless of whether or not its a common business pratice to produce documents like this, its just bad news for us, the comsumers. As long as Geforce 3 is going to be 600 bucks, consumers need as many competitors as possible to keep prices down. I guess Nvidia doesnt like cheap alternatives...

    Herecules 3D Prophet III GeForce 3 (NV20) card/box shots, CompUSA sku# 282126...$599

NV20 yields are probably extremely low. They can charge a ridiculous price because they don't have enough product to to go around. The number of hardcore buyers will be enough to meet current yields. When they ramp up it will become cheaper. Hell, I paid $375 for my Geforce 2 when it first...

Wanna talk to the 3dfx HSR driver dude?

Hardware you never cease to amaze me...Kristof hasn't even started working at 3dfx yet. You still think hes the one who wrote the new driver? Please just stick to covering Nvidia hardware...

The reason why the V6000 could run at 65FPS !!!

Madthumbs, looks like you have a new friend...

Rumor has it that 3dfx has a new trick up their sleeve, and it has something to do with this:

People like Madthumbs really annoy me, claiming a significant speed advantage for the Geforce over the Voodoo 5500 by using one game to prove his point. Why is this kind of narrow-minded attitude so common on these forums? I have a Geforce 2 and my friend owns a V5500. We often play LAN games...

    Rampage specs (unofficial)

The v6000 is basically complete. I just think they realize there is no demand for it. The lessons they learned with the V6000 should help them with the Rampage equivalent when the time comes.

Awesome news about the 3dfx V6000 (big problems! + link + near conformed!)

BFG10K I'm afraid you are wrong. Rampage is not a single product, as there will be different flavors of cards, similar to the Voodoo4/5 series. There may indeed be an 8-chip version (4-rampage,4-sage configuration), but you make it sound like this is what the mainstream product will consist...

What's the worst thing you ever bought for your computer, but you thought it was good at the time?

A Canopus TNT. I bought it because it had the voodoo passthrough cable and I wanted to play games in 32-bit color. I ended up continuing to use my Voodoo 2 for every game I owned. Definitely not worth the $299. The fact that there wen't too many games capable of displaying in 32-bit didn't help.

    3DFX wins over nVidia

Czar, this isn't a last-ditch desperate attempt by a company going out of business. The lawsuit was filed when 3dfx was still on top. Maybe Nvidia wouldn't be where they are today if not for "borrowing" some technology from 3dfx. Either way..let the courts decide.

    PIII 600/100 upgrade

Though I am not 100% sure, with your older motherboard you may only be able to use the older version of the P3-600 (Katmai), with 512k cache. I have the orginal Abit BX motherboard and am currently using that same P3-600, as it was the fastest chip I could get for the board. This chip topped...

    nVidia NV20 info...my gawd!! ;)

DaveB3d, don't worry about upsetting the masses here. What you have said will be conveniently filtered out and never actually processed by their brains. If I'm not mistaken, the NV20 chip hasn't even taped out yet, so don't get your hopes up for a christmas release.
