People like Madthumbs really annoy me, claiming a significant speed advantage for the Geforce over the Voodoo 5500 by using one game to prove his point. Why is this kind of narrow-minded attitude so common on these forums? I have a Geforce 2 and my friend owns a V5500. We often play LAN games...

The v6000 is basically complete. I just think they realize there is no demand for it. The lessons they learned with the V6000 should help them with the Rampage equivalent when the time comes.

BFG10K I'm afraid you are wrong. Rampage is not a single product, as there will be different flavors of cards, similar to the Voodoo4/5 series. There may indeed be an 8-chip version (4-rampage,4-sage configuration), but you make it sound like this is what the mainstream product will consist...

A Canopus TNT. I bought it because it had the voodoo passthrough cable and I wanted to play games in 32-bit color. I ended up continuing to use my Voodoo 2 for every game I owned. Definitely not worth the $299. The fact that there wen't too many games capable of displaying in 32-bit didn't help.

Czar, this isn't a last-ditch desperate attempt by a company going out of business. The lawsuit was filed when 3dfx was still on top. Maybe Nvidia wouldn't be where they are today if not for "borrowing" some technology from 3dfx. Either way..let the courts decide.
