Well, I reinstalled win2000 and everything seems to be fine. As I reinstall software, I will be careful and restart after every install. Thanks for all the advice. At least I am glad that it isnt a hardware problem.

Yes, It is the turtle beach. The programs did not deal with any of the hardware. One was a grphics app and the other was like a napster. I tried the windows recovery utility but to no avail. I hope it is just the software and not any of my new hardware that is screwy. I will reseat...

I cant boot in safe mode and the hardware I recently installed was the entire system!! After work today I will try to unplug and replug in everything. What I dont get is that everything was running fine and then this error. Would the Via 4 in 1 drivers be at the MSI website??

Thanks for the help...When I use the plextor copy software I can copy cd to cd with 16x, but not with any other software. wierd but I am sure it is because of the source drive

I have a Toshiba 48x cd player that I am trying to copy from. Could this also be a limiting factor of the burner speed?

I just put together my new system and my PLextor 16x burner wont hit 16x. I can only get it to burn at 8x even though I set the settings at 16x. Is there a simply solution, I am sure I hooked everything up right? Thanks for the help.

I have a AMD 1.33ghz chip with a Taisol HSF on top. I put the two together using Artic Silver II. Then I run windows, I get a warning message from the WinFast Geforce2 Pro software saying CPU temp warning, it says i am at 75C. When I reboot and check the bios it says I am at 53C. Why am I...

ok..I found it in the BIOS, I was wondering where a jumper was. Geez, another question whatm should my temp be at. The BIOS says 53C as the CPU temp. I have the Taisol HSF and used Artic SIlver 2..I just thought it should be lower

I cant seem to find it on the board yet..I found the battery on the board, it is to the lower left, but I see nothing around it.

I cant seem to find where in the BIOS to raise the mobo bus speed. I have the AMD 1.33ghz chip with a MSI k7 master board. My system is telling me that the cpu speed is 1ghz and not 1.33ghz. I suspect that the bus speed is at 100 instead of 133 but I cant find where its at. PLEASE HELP
