    No GK106 for Nvidia's 600 series lineup?

I'm waiting for this artificial* midrange-only lineup to change before I open my wallet. Midrange chips should sell for midrange prices. *because of the skip of the 32nm node

    Monitors

Glossy panels stink unless you game in a nearly black room, with just a touch of light directly behind the panel. BenQ GW2450HM may be worth consideration.

Looking for advice on new Monitor

There is also the issue of input/processing lag. Even if a panel doesn't have much motion blur, it can still have enough lag to be less than ideal for high-speed gaming.

Reccomendations on where to demo an ips monitor?

Even if you were to find a high-quality monitor in a store: 1. It wouldn't be calibrated. 2. The lighting would be horrendous. Read reviews at prad.de and tftcentral. Personally, I prefer A-MVA panels for their higher real contrast.

Man did nvidia cheap out on the reference gtx670

The 580 reference uses a vapor chamber. As far as I know, that's superior to what AMD was offering. However, the 680 doesn't have it, because Nvidia decided to skimp on cooling for this initial 28nm generation. People are so impressed by the die shrinkage (40nm down to 28nm, skipping 32nm...

GTX 670 reference (short PCB) decision

The 670 and 680 are midrange. Big Kepler hasn't come out yet.

    Anyone else get a Catleap?

It's false advertizing then, because the seller is listing them as 2B.

    No-PWM Monitor Recommendation

What I'd like to know is if any other external monitors use constant control. I'm curious about the Korean Catleap/Shimian/etc monitors, although I'm not a fan of glossy so I'm not seriously considering those. It's annoying to be limited to just one choice in monitors. I'd be satisfied with...

    No-PWM Monitor Recommendation

Read the prad.de article I linked to and your questions will be answered. It's better than tftcentral's derivative article.

    No-PWM Monitor Recommendation

Well, compared to the 50% cheaper Catleap and such, I suppose the HP is expensive, but for someone like me who is sensitive to PWM flicker, there is no alternative but to pony up. The HP ZR2740w has a constant control backlight, according to prad.de, the first site on the net to discuss PWM...
