Hey all. I could either put my ti4200 4x 128MB as hard ass I could overclock it, vs. my Radeon 9550 4X 265MB into my AGP slot. The one that works better esp. with AA and AF is the Radeon. I dont have a favorite toothpaste or underware, so do what you will.
I JUST went from a X-Micro 128Mb Ti4200 4x Agp card 280/495 ram to a Radeon 256MB 9950 8x running at 4x(mobo limitation) at 470/440. I know its a bad choice. Its only barely a preformance increase. I f'ed up. BUT. I am getting about 700+ points more on 3D Mark 2001 SE with the 9550 at about...
Only have switched once from an nVidia card to Radeon. And I didnt even unistall the original nVidia drivers. Just pulled the old card out and put the new one in. Installed the Radeon drivers, no probs. What I am missing something?
Oh sure. Big Dick contest. I am a newbie to hardware and overclocking, but I will try 3DMark 2006 if its got a freeware download, just recently i have gotten my 9550 to 470 core, 476 mem(DDR inc.) and a 3DMark2001 score of 10743. Xp Athlon 2400 @ 2133
and PC2100 Ram at 286Mhz. OH YEAH!!!!! WTF
Thanks all. Got it overclocked to 450 core which is nearly double default. Ram at 440 effective. Can go higher but i notice that higher clocks result in a drop in 3DMark scores. Must be the heat huh. Anyway I am getting about 9500 on 3DMark 2001. Not bad I guess.
Thanks all. Powerstrip reads my Ti4200 at 250 Core and 460 Ram(230 x2).
What does it read ATI cards at single rate and Nvidia at the effective DDR rate or is my card really running its Ram at 97.85Mhz with the DDR rate being 195.75. What gives?
I am really worried that for some reason by...
The memory is supposed to be 400
The Core is supposed to be 250 and Powerstrip reads it as such. I got radlinker and it reads the Core at 250 and the ram at 195.75! I am pissed. Impulse buy at Circut City when I knew better cuase i could have gotten a 9600 for 125 online.
Whay do you guys...
