The memory is supposed to be 400
The Core is supposed to be 250 and Powerstrip reads it as such. I got radlinker and it reads the Core at 250 and the ram at 195.75! I am pissed. Impulse buy at Circut City when I knew better cuase i could have gotten a 9600 for 125 online.

Whay do you guys think? I benchmarked at 7752 on 3DMark2001. Sound correct?

first off......Take that card back if you got it from Circuit City because chances are you paid twice as much for it than its worth but uh....

Thats common to find the ram thats not at the right speed....and besides it 10mhz...highly you'll be able to tell the difference

Thanks all. Powerstrip reads my Ti4200 at 250 Core and 460 Ram(230 x2).
What does it read ATI cards at single rate and Nvidia at the effective DDR rate or is my card really running its Ram at 97.85Mhz with the DDR rate being 195.75. What gives?

I am really worried that for some reason by VRam is only running at 195.75 factoring in the DDR.

If I do take this card back what reason do I give. How about "I couldnt figure out how to make it work, it just kept crashing my computer."?

Dug777-What are your speeds? Cuase this one is not overclocking worth a damn

How about letting a nasty electrical shock go through it, and then claiming "it didn't even start up!"

Nice idea.

But honestly tell them that it artifacts after a few hours of gameplay. or something.

uhh... why did you buy a 9550? and it reads my ATI card at true speeds... 600MHz which is 1200 effective... so calm down and just keep the card

i sold it to a mate a while back, but afaik he's running it at just over the xt core speed, and 634 on the RAM (DDR)...

i had one that wouldn't even run stable at stock without pointing a deskfan at it too :p (i think the hsf wasn't attached properly.

go check your true ram speed with something like atitool or even the system information included with 3dmark03/05...im not sure if there is a system info tool in 2001...

Thanks all. Got it overclocked to 450 core which is nearly double default. Ram at 440 effective. Can go higher but i notice that higher clocks result in a drop in 3DMark scores. Must be the heat huh. Anyway I am getting about 9500 on 3DMark 2001. Not bad I guess.

Oh sure. Big Dick contest. I am a newbie to hardware and overclocking, but I will try 3DMark 2006 if its got a freeware download, just recently i have gotten my 9550 to 470 core, 476 mem(DDR inc.) and a 3DMark2001 score of 10743. Xp Athlon 2400 @ 2133
and PC2100 Ram at 286Mhz. OH YEAH!!!!! WTF
