Do you know the logistics involved? It seems odd to me that it somehow didn't cost money before, when there were plenty of programs that could do it for free.
Collectors Edition Box is a ripoff. You pay an extra $30 for a shirt that probably doesn't fit, a super tiny hint book, and HL:Source. I was really dissapointed.
There used to be a multitude of programs that would allow you to call telephone numbers via the internet for free -- local and long distance. Now that it's big business, no one offers this service for free anymore? Why is this?
I had a somewhat similar issue with SP2. I didn't get a BSOD however. What I had to do was to drop to recovery mode using the XP disk, then manually unistall SP2. When I finally got back into Windows I had to use a restore point, because it still wasn't functioning correctly.
The only time that's ever happened to me was when the drive was dead. Is it spinning up? You sure you have the jumpers right? Does it work in another machine?
Hmm. There is no "Security" tab. There is a sharing tab. This, however, does not have an andvanced button. I've shared the drive already. I'm using XP Home. Is it different in XP Pro?
I can't get into the OS of the slave drive. The OS is corrupted, and I can't boot from it. If I'm misunderstanding you, could you be so kind as to explain what you mean by take ownership? I can't even see the files much less change their attributes. Sorry, I'm kinda new at XP.
