Partitioned hard drive with both FAT32 & NTFS???

I wouldn't partition the drive unless you were planning to Dual Boot or wanted to keep your OS separate from you Apps, Games, Data, etc. It should be reliable either way. As for NTFS vs. FAT32, there are many threads on this board about using either File System. The only thing I will...

    *fixed* thanks all

The CD had a Directory for making boot disks. If you can boot to DOS, then you can make boot disks. I believe that the directory of file on the CD is makeboot. Look for that. It will create 4 boot disks (I'm assuming you're running 2k). From there you can boot up and copy the files you...

Which file is missing, exactly?? How about NTOSKRNL.EXE in the System32 Directory? Also, can you access your primary drive at all (via dos or something)?

    Win2k BSOD every 60 minutes?

Well, I don't have any system specs to work with, but it sounds like you have a ATA-100 Controller card in the system. You might try removing the controller card and attaching the Hard Drives to the primary IDE on the motherboard. The drive might not run at ATA-100 speeds, but if the BSOD goes...

    Is This a Good Laptop?

I like it. If I were looking for a laptop, that would definitely do the job for me. Also, I've got several friends who own HP laptops and have nothing but great comments about it.

I would go with a SMC Barricade 7004BR or 7004ABR Router as both have a built in print server. Good Luck.

Best solution for Home Internet Sharing?

That's right. I'm using an SMC Barricade 7004ABR and had no trouble setting up my PCs (I have 3 of them). The SMC had a COM Port as well as a Print Server, and installation was a piece of cake, once I got all of the machine hooked up. Good Luck.

    upgrading and need help

I would get the latest VIA Drivers at VIA Hardware. You will also want to look at the FAQ on Via Hardware's Site concerning the KG7 boards. I think the FAQ applies more to the RAID version of the board, but you may want to look just to be sure. Here's the link to the FAQ: KG7 FAQs Other than...
