Just wanted to know what the principle heat producer is in P4s for a safe overclock.
I have a P4 1.5Ghz Overclocked to 1.8Ghz (nearly) 119 x 15 and the temperature is 38oC IDLE
and 56 FULL load. The Voltage is 1.9v. I am using standard HSF.
I dont want to risk burning my CPU out but Is it...
Yes this type of code should be the strong for the AMD since it has much larger cache size than the
P4 and emulation is all about repetitive op code mapping etc.
Probably a fluke the AMD does so well in PACMAN thereby pulling up its average :D some guy must have
optimized the driver for pacman...
Well I thought the Pentium 4 would suck clock for clock vs AMD CPus but
not so.. check this:

I know they are not measuring clock for clock here because its an
AMD1.3GHz CPU vs Pentium 1.5Ghz columns for closest match.
But in the MAME32...
No the buffer wont make much difference.
There also isnt much difference between x 12 and x16.. Only on paper.
Yup get the Toshiba cos its Clone CD compatible and the Creative drives
are quite bad.
Clone CD is a CDR program this enables you to make 1:1 copies of
programs.. which may be copy...
