I would be looking towards SATA because of the new motherboards. It will make upgrading easier later. I just wanted to know if I could use a SATA drive with my system, being that I have 2.2 pci slots. I take it that I can by the responses I've gotten. I have only found 2.3 pci controllers so...
Well I only have the one 80Gb drive left. I was looking to get some more space and saw the SATA drives that are available. Are you saying I would be better off getting a 120 or something like that and staying with the ATA 133?
P.S. Some of those commands aren't necessary. They just won't work, but following that is how I fixed several XP pc's that wouldn't boot up with that same problem. A couple folks got new memory and that seemed to fix the problem with it happening.

This is the best way to fix that problem, however it could be stemming from what these folks suggested. This should get you going again though.
