for the price of the card it runs great. I compared it to my MSI gts and it was only a couple frames behind on medal of honor and that game seems to be killing everybodys FPS. doesnt have its own overclocking utility though so you would have to use powerstrip or something.
a Visiontek geforce 2 gts-v would be a great card for that system and dirt cheap at $42. otherwise geforce 3's are getting fairly cheap but I am using the visiontek on a P3 700@900 and it runs everything I have pretty well.
Is a geforce 2 mx to geforce 2 gts DDR upgrade worthwhile. I play alot of games and the GTS is only $130.(leadtek version) will I see any improvement at 1024X768X32bit color or should I just wait for geforce3 prices to come down.
Up until recently I have been pretty satisfied with the MX...
thanks everybody. I will go get another network card. I only had the USB in the first place because I didnt want the cable company opening my computer. I will say that for all it's apparent lack of speed my downloads have always been very fast (150 kb/s with download accelerator) and for someone...
are there any known problems with using one of these as opposed to a PCI card. just having trouble getting a few games to run. internet and file sharing and a few games working fine. the USB adapter is hooked up to the client right now but I could switch it to my cable modem or just replace it...
yes, I wasnt sure if it should be the default protocol but I tried that too and at least in DF it made no difference though I can get that to start up pretty regularly now the client still doesnt find the server.
I have 2 pc's hooked up with win98se ICS and a crossover cable. at first my priority was to share internet connection and printer. I have succeded at this and now want to play games between the 2 pc's.
UT,Rune a few old driving games and eventualy Tribes 2 seem to work fine and have been a...
how old was your drive? there arent too many people rcommending WD although Ive had a couple for about a year with no problems and I was thinking about getting another 20gb 7200rpm drive to match up if I ever tried a raid set-up
cool, although I seem to have a bunch of old programs that while uninstalled have left tracks all over the place. Ive run alot of different hardware through this thing since I put it together last year it has seen a bunch of changes some unintentional but really nothing major other than my HDD...
when Ive had motherboard problems (didnt use paper washers) I got no power at all or no power to the cpu fan so the seated video card sounds like the possible problem
were all supposed to love plextor but how many of us have them. I thought my HP9530i 10x4x32 was a good deal at$100 but $25 is ridiculas. and I stuffed that in a tower thats still a work in progress. I am using a sony 140E 8x4x32 and have made my share of coaster but I try to copy...errr...back...
I have an extra tower that I put together from old parts and stuff i picked up cheap. it will mainly be used for school work and enough gaming to keep my 8 year old off MY computer. it has a cheapo Kinpo motherboard an 32mb ATI Rage Fury Pro with video inputs so I can try making some video CD's...
