Seems like quite a few have been SLI problems, but I've seen issues across the board. One of my friends just got a second board and is having the same problems he had with his first, he's running a single 6800 card and a raid 0, and one of those 2 things have to be the problem at this point...

I'd say it depends on what you want to do... If you're not too worried about high level o/c then go with cheaper ram at equal timings. Despite what people say you can still save $50+ at get the same performance. If you really want to drive your rig to o/c heaven then you might want to look...

I haven't o/c'd the board yet. I've heard PDP does fairly well. It's not in the same realm as the XMS, and high running OCZ ram but it should hold up to decent speeds. I'll probably try a wee bit of tweaking after running some more load intensive programs to see what I really need. And...

It sounds like you did this but... You installed all the drivers for the onboard network ports?

I'm also pretty certain you would have to remove the bridge and flip the SLI selector card everytime you wanted to switch. Unless there is a specific SLI option to allow for the different monitor setups (which I haven't seen yet, but I don't know about any boards that haven't been tested here).

Have you tried running just one display to make sure it will work at all? You might also try starting from the drivers they give you with the cards, see what works.doesn't work and update from there. Although if XP is having issues it might need a format and reinstall to fix.

My friend is double checking everything on his board. Hopefully the full problem will be found and fixed. My own system is going to be running off of a 500w MGE Vigor Max psu. Hopefully it won't have any problems, and hopefully I'll get the thing together by monday or tuesday... whichever...

Yeah, that would be the best idea, but I already have a 500w psu with a 20 pin connector sitting in my case, so if I can save $50 I would like to try. But I'm definetly going to keep the option open of just buying a new one.

I'll be running a 300gd Maxtor Diamond Max 10 as soon as I have my system running (waiting on processor to ship). The two drives are pretty much identical so if I have success or issues I'll be sure to post.
