Why do people with degrees in computer engineering want to do this?
I've seen it in many other threads that someone is going to do this and then get a degree in computer engineering or already has a degree and is doing this or something.
Computer Engineering=hardware design, layout of circuits...
I'm trying to run dual monitors in win2k.
I have the following:
voodoo5 5500 agp
ati xpert XL 8 meg pci
I finally got them to install right.
It turns out I needed to put in the bios that the pci card was the one I was booting from (can someone explain this)
I get it all booted up and everything...
For people that play games that support glide and are planning on playing them for a while in the future it is a good deal. Also for 2d it is excellent. If you like playing every game in the world for just a week then you should buy something else.
I've never had problems with 3dfx cards in win2k
when I was beta testing it I got 45 fps with voodoo2s..that was when no card worked with win2k for 3d.
If you play games written in glide then the voodoo5 is by far the best card you can get.
I only play Unrealtournament so its the best card for frames in that.
I bought one of those radeons that were cheap. There is a reason why they are cheap, they had the worst 2d I've ever seen on a card...
I usually check the for/sale forum first then hot deals. Today I checked them backwards so until about 5 minutes later I didn't even realize the mistake.
Plus I prefer not to be a llama like many of the members ripping on any new junior member that makes a mistake. I guess thats what it takes...
