This _would_ be great for presentations - should take ~10 seconds to clear the room and you're done! Really short Q&A session at the end, or else a really long one with the guys over @ 'protect and serve'.
Wonder if this is a steel version of this case? I'd think it'd be steel based on the 29lb actual/ 41lb shipping weight. OTOH, Geeks charges me $15 shipping when I buy this bezel on an aluminum chassis with the Powmax 350W supply; shipping for this whole combo is only $20, so maybe it _is_...
You could encode divx... keep movies on it & play 'em on other machines in your house... SQL database...
Or you could wrap in in aluminum foil and put some blinking LED's on it and pretend it's a robot.
When a company offers a warranty on a drive, the company wants the warranty to expire before the drive. If they're confident in offering a 3 year warranty, it's because they don't expect many drives to die within 3 years. If this were a math class, I'd write an equation to put this whole post...
I believe Western Digital's JB drives are still 3 years, but for the most part they've gone to 1 year... What a cop-out, they should at least have enough faith in their product to give you two years to blow it up.
Credit cards that extend warranties can be your friend.
At least 3 of my 4 SCSI...
CaseMod.com President's Day Sale... no tremendous bargains, but some decent prices.

Why are clear acrylic cases so fuggin' expensive?? Is clear acrylic/plexiglass/whatever that expensive?
>Anyone know how to paint drive bezels clear?
Kevin, just use aerolsol clear polyurethane. ;)
Just call your CC company, dispute the charge & drive on... I haven't ever pushed it -too- far, but Amex has taken care of every problem vendor I've ever dealt with, no stress, no mess.
Well, after you've gone so far as to integrate Darwinist experimentation with your space exploration program to the point that MIR's inhabitants accept near-death experiences as part of their daily routine, perhaps you just quit trying so hard.... you slack a little, your Roulette game slips to...
Actually, alot of their tools are above-average quality - not professional grade, but good enough for a farmer or a small businessman who doesn't have a lot to spend on tools that aren't mission-critical ... good enough for a weekend warrior.
I've usually found Dremel tools (as well as cheap clones) to be too small & underpowered for serious work, but they still have a place in most toolboxes. The (relatively) heavy fiberglass cutoff wheels are the only way to chop up hard metals - way expensive (5 packs are usually $6), but they...
Your batteries are the "hot" part of this deal - as in the charger charges 'em way too quick, drastically shortening battery life. Out of probably 40-50 new/almost new AA's & AAA's I've charged, 2 have vented (not Rayovac; nevertheless, good quality cells). After the first 20 batteries or so...
Not to crap on this deal, but you might be better off ordering elsewhere. They screwed me around 1/2 a year ago, they finally called a month after I bitched to my CC company, explained that some employee screwed up a bunch of stuff or something, so I gave 'em another chance. This time around I...
