Not a super deal but local Best Buy has these very overclockable sticks for $6 less than NewEgg.

I doubt Kyle's jump to aid Ryan was to stop "big dogs like THG from bully others". He did it because he can't stand THG. It started when Tomas said tech sites shouldn't stop publishing in the wake of 9-11. For some reason this pissed Kyle off so he banned linking to THG in the HardOCP fourms...

Just get a cheap tv card and capture straight to MPEG1, it will look like crap but there's no conversion crap to mess with. If you want quality your gonna have to mess with "conversion crap" unless you hack a Tivo/Replay TV.

Apple doesn't sell CRT monitors anymore so a nVida 5200 or ATI 9600 will look just as good as any Matrox card when attached to a LCD. Also why ship machines with a gaming gfx card when there's 10 games at most that will uses them?

A overclocked P4 Celeron in a Shuttle SB52G2 would make a cheap and fast video encoding box.

My fav RDRAM board is the Abit TH7II-R. I'm on my third cpu with this board(I've had a 1.5GHz, a 1.8AGHz and now a 2.6GHz), its performance is still neck and neck with i875 and e7205 boards , and its great overclocking board.
