If the mobo manual says it only supports up to pc2700, can I buy pc3200 and have it run at a lower speed? or am I stuck with only buying pc2700 memory?
OJEDAWC has a point. I've had my car 4 years and it's been broken into 3 times. It's not flashy or fixed up and I don't leave anything valuable inside. If you buy a popular car, you just have to be prepared to pay any insurance deductibles when (not if) your car gets broken into/stolen.
Well, I just signed up for cable broadband with Adelphia (in the Los Angeles area). Most people don't know that they recently filed for bankruptcy but have been granted an extension to get their finances in order. In an attempt to get more subscribers, new subscribers are being given their...
I just got the Hoontech SD DBIII today. I installed the most recent creative labs drivers and now all my sound has this really ugly reverb added to it. I've already tried uninstalling all the Creative software and drivers. I'm back to running the generic sb live drivers from winxp but the...
I'm thinking of adding a second CD-R to my setup for doing multiple copies. I currently have a Plextor 8x/20x scsi and was thinking of adding either another 10x or 12x scsi burner. I only have a Maxtor 46gb 5400rpm hard drive and I'm worried that my hard drive bandwidth won't be sufficient for...
I had the same problem until I downloaded the real Liveware drivers from www.soundblaster.com Apparently my oem sb live value didn't come with it, only the generic drivers with minimal functions.
I bought a Pioneer 10x/40x tray drive earlier this year, but I couldn't stand the sound of the drive when it spun up. I actually ended up trading down to a Toshiba 6x/32x. The 6x is much, much quieter and is natively region-free to boot. :)
As far as expandability goes, you can't really add much to an e-machines box. The mobo only has 2 dimm slots, and since it has onboard video and sound, only 2 pci and 1 isa slots. The 10gb hard drive is an older 5400rpm model.
My sister bought one a while ago through an e-trade $400 rebate...
Someone just asked me the following question and I don't know how to respond. :)
"What chipset is the P3 500mhz chip? Is it intel, 440BX or something else?"
They sounded pretty serious about it too. lol
Since we're on the subject of identifying Micron memory, could any of you help me identify this? (A link would be even better)
