Which LCDs now come with a 16ms response time or better?

My Viewsonic VP171b was delivered today. Newegg never ceases to amaze me with their shipping, I ordered it just yesterday at 2:30 pm with free shipping. This is one beautiful monitor! Right now it is connected with the analog cable as the supplied DVI-D cable (2 meters long) is too short to...

Which LCDs now come with a 16ms response time or better?

I have been considering the Hitachi and the NEC 16ms LCds but after seeing pictures of the Viewsonic VP171b and reading what MrGamer and TypeM have said, I ordered one today from Newegg for $499 with free shipping. Can't wait for it to arrive! I have a question for MrGamer or TypeM: How long...

Weird problems with new system . . . NForce mobo

How many sticks of RAM and what memory slots are you using? A friend just built a new nForce system with XP Pro and had problems with spontaneous reboots and crashes/windows errors in games. He tried Win 2000 with same results. Turns out he had put his two sticks of 128mb PC2100 RAM in memory...

    Embarrassingly Simple RAID Question

SpideyCU, You're welcome, I hope it was helpful in getting your system going. >>Just out of curiosity, when you say "recent" version of fdisk, how "recent" is that? << Supposedly there is a bug in fdisk versions thru Win98SE. It will not work on disks (or RAID arrays) over...

    SERIOUS hdd problem

Download and run the PowerMax diagnostic from Maxtor. If the drive is going bad it will give you an error code. Also write down the drive's serial number, which PowerMax will display. As long as the drive is in warranty period, this is all you need. On the Maxtor website you can fill in an RMA...

    Embarrassingly Simple RAID Question

From what you describe it sounds like the striping did not really happen even though the boot screen reports the drives are striped. BTW, what version of the Highpoint bios and driver are you using? They should be matched. I am not familiar with your mobo, is the Highpoint controller built-in or...

    Embarrassingly Simple RAID Question

Something is not quite right. You should have 80GB total for the C: drive if the drives are striped in a RAID 0 array. Have you loaded the Highpoint drivers in Win98?
