Opinions on Albatron PX845G Pro II Motherboard

My plan right now is to use a 2.26 ghz P4 for my new computer. I've been looking for a solid motherboard, and this seems like it has it all. 533fsb, support (unnofficial) for ddr333, raid (for the extra ide channels), decent sound, etc. What do you think, is this a good choice? It's only about $130. One more question, how would the onboard sound compare to an old soundblaster Live card? Thanks for the help, links are below:

it seems that the albatron board is hard to locate. What do you think of the Epox EP-4G4a+ instead? Link

Of those two I'd definately go with an EPOX one. I've had some great luck with EPOX and was very impressed. Looks like that board is top-notch.

Am building a new PC for my dad. Just ordered the Albatron PX845G Pro II from mwave.com for $118. Should be here sometime this week. Will post more info once I get it up and running.

I read a couple very good reviews on the albatron board. For the price it may be the best board available. Can't remember where the reviews were from and they may have been some preprod boards.

Are you sure you can use the Promise RAID as two IDE channels? I couldn't find a definitive answer.

Yes you can. Just built a PC for my dad with this mobo using the Promise controller as two IDE channels. Connected his drives as follows:

IDE1 master - Lite-On 40x12x48 CD-RW
IDE1 slave - empty
IDE2 master - I/O Magic 50x CD-ROM
IDE2 slave - empty

Promise1 master - Maxtor 30GB 7200 HD (C: drive, non RAID)
Promise1 slave - empty
Promise2 master - Maxtor 5GB HD (D: drive, non RAID)
Promise2 slave - empty
