Peter007 - thanks. I thought a Radeon would work as well, but I found a GeForce3 for cheaper than any Radeon I could find.... $20. So I went with it.

Need CHEAP DVI video card for 1440x900 monitor

WT, I wonder if you could experiment with forceware 71.84. This guy said it worked for him at 1440x900 (which actually is not such an oddball resolution) - http://forums.entechtaiwan.net/viewtopi...1&sid=588d4ef6858924e6bc7cf118f5b18f69 Would be curious what your results are. My card should...

What about something like this: http://www.frugalgear.com/product_info.php?products_id=1000080503 Although I'm not sure if that is backwards compatible to AGP 2x.

New Conroe 6700 with Intel 975 Mobo

I've just started loading software on a new system which has a 6700 Core2 Duo on an Intel Box 975 mobo. It is configured with RAID disabled. It takes the BIOS about 25 seconds to detect the two 320GB HDs during boot up, and 35 seconds to get to the first Windows screen. My old AMD 3700...

    New Intel 975 Mobo

Just setting up a new system with the Intel Box 975 mobo. Configured for no RAID. Dual 320GB disks. During boot the BIOS screen takes about 20 to 25 seconds to find the drives before loading windows. This is outrageous... Any ideas how to fix this?

So a buddy is setting up a new system with the Intel BOX 975 mobo and is using to 320GB SATA drives that he wants in non-RAID configuration. The first RAID screen that comes up finds the drives and he is able to low level format them. But then under the regular BIOS the drives are not found...

    Help Me Build a $3000 Non-Gaming Machine

Maybe $3000 is overkill for non-gaming, but I do want awesome sound capability for composing and mixing music. There will also be heavy photoshop usage. Already have a Dell 24" monitor. Given that, I'd appreciate recommendations in the under $3000 out the door range for each of these: ...
