I've had a similar problem before. Check your DNS settings on the 2k servers to make sure they are correct. I believe Microsoft has some info on TechNet about this sort of thing... I'll post a link if I can find one

At work we have similiar Panasonic phones all the way around (10 employees), and they take more of a beating than any phone I've ever seen (dropped on cement, thrown across the office, you name it), and the only problems I've seen is the battery going to hell and one speaker dying.
