    2005FPW and strange font behavior

The following is a simulation of what I am experiencing. It is VERY close to the actual effect. Unfortunately the effect cannot be captured in a screenshot. A digital camera taking a pic of the monitor screen might do it, but... this is close enough to demonstrate. Picture here...

    2005FPW and strange font behavior

I originally thought this was an issue with the LCD's anti-glare coating, but it is something much more bizarre. Basically, if I use some monospaced "system" fonts in my IRC or Telnet windows (fonts like Fixedsys, Terminal), the font will ghost across the screen. This ghosting is only visible...

Dell new 20" wide LCD 2005FPW. Has anyone seen this beast?

Beautiful monitor, but mine came with a glaring green stuck-pixel. It showed up on black and, for being only one tiny little pixel, was one heck of an eye-sore. :( Slight backlight seepage near the top right corner, too. I know no LCD is guaranteed to be perfect... but my 1702FP was perfect...

    Leadtek GF4-4200 AGP8x 128MB powers DVI 1680x1050

    Verto ti4600 and widescreen

Thanks for the info... now that I'm home, I see that you can add resolutions. Apparently this is not recommended (a warning pops up, the text thereof I cannot recall) :/ But! Yes, it is possible. Did you try your experiment on a widescreen LCD, shabby? :) My remaining problem is that my card...

    Verto ti4600 and widescreen

Hello, I'm stuck in a rut here, and perhaps you folks can help me out. I have an aging PNY Verto ti4600 GeForce4 video card. I want to buy a brand new Dell widescreen LCD, but I'm not sure if my card will support its max resolution. I'm thinking it will not, but I am not sure. The max...

    PNY ti4600

Hello, I have a few questions on video cards and monitors and the like, so maybe you folks can help... I just got a brand new Dell, 17in flat-panel monitor (1705FP, the nice one), and a crappy Geforce 4 MX 420. I have a PNY Geforce 4 ti4600 on order. Today, I was playing with the refresh rate...
