Hello,

I have a few questions on video cards and monitors and the like, so maybe you folks can help...

I just got a brand new Dell, 17in flat-panel monitor (1705FP, the nice one), and a crappy Geforce 4 MX 420. I have a PNY Geforce 4 ti4600 on order.

Today, I was playing with the refresh rate on my LCD and set it at 75hz, making the screen MUCH clearer than the default 60hz. My resolution is 1280x1024. My questions are... will the PNY 4600 handle this resolution at this refresh rate? The screen is soooo crisp right now, and I would like to keep it at these settings. Also, the 4600 has a DVI interface, so I can finally use my DVI cable and the hookup on my LCD... how much better is the video performance with DVI? I know DVI skips the step of converting the signal from digital to analog to digital, but what impact does that have?

I want to get the most out of this monitor ;)

I run my PNY Ti 4400 at 1280x1024 @ 100hz, so I'm 99.999% sure the 4600 can do at least 1280x1024 @ 75hz.

The video card can handle that resolution easily. I think it can do up to 120Hz at 1280X1024 (monitor supporting, of course).
