i agree
bio-star boards are good boards, fpr "normal" :) users
but if you want to overclock, or if you want the best performance in games
bio-star is not for you
i know, because i own a biostar board (m7mke..slotA)
i just want to do it for the heck of it
*gg*
and since those P2 xeons are so damn cheap
i wanna build a rig with 2 x 450Mhz 2MB l2 cache
the pentium3s are to expensive
and speed is not that important anyways
one question remaining....do i have to use registered dimms on those supermicro...
Everytime I try to install it, i get a bluescreen where it says
Hardware malfunction, contact your vendor ......
i tried it with and without my NIC, and with 2 different HDDs.
I obviously cannot remove the cdrom or the videocard
....
So what should I do?
Does anybody else have this problem...
maybe sony gets nervous seeing that some (most) DC games look as good as the PS2 ones
and Software sales ain't too rosy....neither are hardware sales (in japan that is)
perhaps it's just another rumor to get attention to the PS2
people will say
WOW
IF I BUY A PS2 NOW I WILL HAVE A 256BIT...
that would be very cool
however IMHO not very likely
how should such an upgrade be installed?
and that short after the US/European launch
I don't think so.
because MAYBE dave has NOTHING to do with Quantum3D pricing?
...
but don'T you agree....one of those 4 or 8 way SLI boards would be AMAZING
come on Hardware, gibs zu!
*g*
i tried to overclock it with vCore @ 2 volts
to no avail
it simply wont run 900Mhz or above
i think the limit of my (crappy) CPU is 880Mhz....
I do have a prog. to set the L2 divider
it's called SysID, it's like WCPUID + the cache divider settings ( 1/2, 1/3 & 2/5).
still...my CPU seems...
