$20-40 for a better IPS screen and 2gb ram is worth it, IMHO I hope its just a rumour.. I think first cherry trail devices should debut at CES, with more products later in Q1/Q2... waiting for a cherry trail ASUS T100 to replace my old netbook..

so I played with the new dell venue 7 this week and I really liked it.. smooth android experience, similar to my 2013 nexus 7.. wish I could have tried a few games though.. overall, lots of value for a ~$160 tablet

just saw this: ASUS C200 Cromebook review http://liliputing.com/2014/06/asus-c200-chromebook-review-long-battery-life-moderate-performance.html great battery life, beats previous ARM versions

how cheap can these tablets get? o_O a few months ago I'd be shocked about $200 windows 8 tablets, now we're talking sub $100... great value for the money though is this their new phone SoC? can it run windows? they have come a long way since CT+ days... finally competitive cpu and graphics...

my thoughts too.. merrifield looks like a great SoC for cheap yet capable phones and tablets.. I wish there were more devices and tests out there but the passmark result above is fairly impressive for a 2C device.. beats the S800 kindle fire as a windows machine I'm worried about powervr...

yes, plenty of BT devices offer all day battery life, or come really close theres no assumption, it will be way more competitive than BT is, they increased the EUs from 4 to 16 and improved the architecture... how it stands up against the competition? who knows... well S805 is a mere 40% shader...

both A7 and S800 can draw more power than BT-T under heavy load, so you might want to check your sources again silvermont provides excelent cpu performance per watt, if intel improves gpu performance per watt with cherry trail they will have a very competitive chip

Intel & AMD: Rated TDP vs. Actual TDP?

your posts about BT and tegra are really depressing.. silvermont can deliver similar/better MT CPU performance than apple a7 at lower power levels the only thing ''horrendous'' is a7's power draw under load... next to A7 even nvidia K1 Jetson's 11W dont look that bad
