well i notice in your sig your running watercooling and 1.5 volts i mean 1.5 seems high to me for a 90nm cpu but im not sure just looking for opinions on whats safe and i mean if im at 1.38 am i going to gain that much going up in voltage or am i risking alot for another 100mhz.

yeah ive ran 2 instances for about 8 hours so far and its fine im running large in place ffts. My board seems to overvolt this chip a bit though as i have it set at 1.35 and im getting 1.38 sometimes peaking at 1.4. so i shouldnt set my board about 1.4 then on air for a long life?

Well thats assuming the CPUs will be available later after the price cut. i mean what would be stupid is replacing an abit fatality motherboard and 4gb of very good ddr ram for no performance gain on socket AM2 if the cpus are going to be drieing up?
