I am sure he has it configured right. But hosting is usually frowned upon by ISPs. They want you to upgrade to something dedicated with a static IP so they can make more money.

You don't have to buy water cooling gear in order to overclock. You can get very decent overclocks using regular air cooling. But if you are a crazy enthusiast....like many people here, you can seriously squeeze out a lot of performance using water cooling.

Are you Overclocked? Cause if you are try lowering your voltages and sacrificing a little performance boost. Other than that, all I can tell you is to use paste like Davegod said.

How does this work? Mobile processors, which can be dropped in the same slot as any Desktop processor, are not commonly used. However, they take less power consumption and offer the same performance. If this is true, then why not just use them all the time in Desktop systems?

The only problem I see with it is that it wears down parts in the long run. However, for people like me who upgrade on a year to year basis, it doesn't really concern me. So enjoy that performance boost, nice post Manzelle!

I bet your ISP has something to do with it then. Most ISPs do not like having people host off of their connections when you are only using broadband.

Not according to AnandTech's review. Geil is one of the top performers. Personally I would look into Corsair, OCZ, and Geil. All are good, just compare prices and go from there.

When I built a Athlon 64 system recently it ran 57 degrees C at idle. Personally, I thought that was pretty hot. However, that is with a stock fan. I never got a chance to test the processor under full load. Even with this in mind, I seriously doubt that the highest possible operation...

Depending on the type of BIOS you have and the version, some do not have the ability to adjust such settings. I know when I used my older computer that it had AMI bios, and did not support those options.

Look at it this way, Gateway designed the bios to work with that motherboard on that PC. You can't go wrong with the Gateway bios.

Don't buy a Serial ATA drive. That is just a waste of money for the performance. You can get a drive twice as big for the same price using PATA. Wait until SATA starts getting bumped up and just save your money. The other choices are great though. As for the video card, if you aren't...
