Final update. I was able to create a custom resolution with the GT 1030 to output 2560x1440 using HDMI.

Just popped in the Nvidia GT 1030 and my max resolution with DVI is 1680x1050 (updated to latest driver). My previous PC had a Radeon R7770 and had an output display of 2560x1440 using the same DVI cable and monitor. Any ideas?

I'm planning on returning it back to Amazon. It's a shame since I purchased it on sale for $69.99. The one that LTC8K6 linked looks like it will work. Thanks for the feedback.
