zzf is cheating me!!

Ordered my new computer parts at both newegg and zipzoomfly at the same time. According to the tracking system, the stuff from newegg is already on the way with tracking ID. However, the stuff from zipzoomfly is still showing as "packed" I will be pissed if I don't get the stuff by Friday.

I've never ordered from zzf before, so I don't know their track record. How are they usually? It's supposed to be 2nd day shipping...

I always compare the two in shopping cart and notice New Egg shipping is lower and seems to have better prices. One thing that bothers me about zipzoom is the sleazy way they started out as googlegear which seemed to be in an effort to associate and use googles name for which they have no relation.

i had nothing but good experience from zzf. they're in South SF and right across the bay from me. usually I order in the morning and they ship out the same day. i usually get the stuff next day. This is with their free 2nd day shipping too.

I find that ZZF will always wait 24 hours before they ship it out to me whereas Newegg will often ship the product out to me the very same day if I order early enough. Both are excellent but I prefer Newegg.

Well I ordered a 19" flat panel on Friday morning, newegg shipped it 11 AM that same morning. Thus NewEgg rocks

Now the problem
Guess when I received my order? FREAKING TUESDAY, even though Fed-Ex had it on their truck on Monday cuz these geniuses said my expected delivery date was WEDNESDAY.

Sorry had to vent, the monitor is freaking hot tho.

I had a similar situation as you and I will have my ZZF order today and my Newegg order tomorrow. So I think it all depends on who's shipping bench it ends up on. I probably got the lazy Newegg guy and you got the lazy ZZF guy.

I always go with zipzoom if possible. You do not have to pay a extra $3 to get the good service of same day shipping if ordered early enough like you do with newegg. I have ordered first thing in the morning before on the east coast. (newegg not even open yet) and my order not ship till the following day. I can order in the late afternoon here and my order shipped same day with zipzoom. I like newegg, but I like zipzoom better nowadays. Their 2day FEDEX is a very nice advantage over neweggs "saver" shipping. Plus, for most items I buy, zipzoom has better prices. Especially cpu's and memory I bought a few weeks ago. Anyways, this is just my opinion.

Well, I saved $81.49 ordering most of my parts from zzf. I've always used newegg until now. I like newegg and all, but if zzf earn my trust and ship the stuff by Friday, heck I'd be all over it. $81.49 ain't much, but it's a nice sushi dinner.

I talked to CS at zzf and she said it will be shipped today. Does that mean I have a good chance of getting it by Friday?

This is starting to get on my nerve. After talking to zzf's CS and confirming that the packed items would be loaded and shipped this evening, the order status still shows "packed," not "shipped." Doesn't show fedex tracking number. What are you guys' experience with ordering and their timing? Do you think I should still get my stuff by friday? I know I'm acting little impatient, but hey can you blame me? Getting a new toy in 3 years!!

It seems like they don't update their order info very well. Whenever I've ordered from Newegg or ZipZoomFly at the same time and got 2nd Day from Newegg (with it free from ZZF), the parts always came the same day.

Checkout both prices, if zzf is better go with them, if not new egg. I had ordered from both with excellent service from both. Can't really say one is BETTER than the other. Newegg generally has a wider selection.

Everybody is very busy this time of year. I ordered some things from NewEgg on Monday and it is still sitting in their warehouse. If it is dealayed more then two days will ship it overnight for free. As a general rule they nearly always ship on the same day if you order early in the morning.
I've found that ZZF doesn't update their status as quickly as New Egg. Your stuff has probably been shipped but you won't receive a notification untill tomorrow. Good luck.

OK, that's comforting to know. What's bad about zzf is that I didn't get any sort of confirmation email when I placed the order. nothing at all. Is that true for everyone?

FedEx Express saver is slow as a turtle. Newegg shipped my order from NJ on Tuesday and Fedex has the item in Newark NJ so far for 2 days and has a scheduled delivery date of 12/13. I live 20 miles from Newark so this is bunk

I ordered a different item from ZZF at the same time and it is scheduled to arrive today.

Moto: Both Newegg and ZZF ship out the product fast, just be careful about using fedEx Saver during the holiday season

I've ordered from both now, and I only order from NewEgg if the price plus shipping is significantly lower than the ZZF price. Whoever said NewEgg's shipping prices are lower is blowing smoke; ZZF has free second-day shipping. The gamer doesn't exist who ever needed a part faster than that, or faster than a week for that matter.

FedEx has a hang up about delivering the packages early. If the delivery date paid for is Wednesday and it is on the truck on Tuesday you might have to wait a day. Depends on the driver. UPS is the same way but not as bad as FedEx.
