Zuni,
I suspect I'll quickly see the standard 'It won't be happening', but I am curious what the 'standards' are for considering a new forum section here. I've seen a number of requests (probably at least 2 a month) for various ones from 'Laptops' to 'Macs'. I understand why the vast majority of these can't be added, but I was wondering if there was a criteria which would result in a new forum being added?
Personally, I would love to see the addition of a 'Security' forum that would cover internet security related issues from viri to IIS configuration to the new MS/Intel/AMD secure hardware proposals. (Since internet security is my background, it's probably not a suprise it's the forum I'd be asking for). There does seem to be enough of these threads between Operating Systems, Software(etc), and Technical Support to justify a forum (IMHO).
Anyhow, not expecting it to happen, but am curious about the first part (what criteria would you use in the future, or are things pretty much set in stone right now). Also, do you consider possibly advertisers when making such decisions (I think a security forum could draw a number of companies to buy banner ads, possibly mine included).
Cheers,
Bill
