Zuni, how about reorganizing the forums?

Just a thought, but wouldnt it make things easier if forum issues and technical support were near the top?
Alot of the posts in GH and OT are just people asking for help with hardware or software, or questions about the forums (in the case of OT).

I think definately moving TS up near the top, above GH would be good.

We're not actively monitoring this category, the category is only for moderator issues now. We just dont have the time to answer questions about the forums themselves, thats what the help is for really.

Not to be nitpicky, but in the time it took you to write that, you could have responded with a "We'll think about it" or "It's not going to be happening"!!

I was talking about Zuni responding to this thread saying that FI is now only for Moderator issues, not for forum issues/questions, such as moving the forums around. All the effort Zuni has spent in answering questions in this thread, he could have quite easily said at least whether they would consider moving the categories around! Instead, we've had 2-3 replies from Zuni, and we still don't know whether they are considering it! 🙂

I dont mean to sound harsh, but it really sounds like they dont give a flying fvck about our suggestions. I just thought that this would help the people who were trying to get help, and also clean up some of the other forums. Sorry for taking up your time.

I'm pretty sure that this happened in response to one of my threads in here (now deleted) about a bug.

I think that since the problem is with the forum software, and not with the Anandtech community, that issues such as this should be posted in the Fusetalk forum. This may be confusing for some since Zuni works with Fusetalk, but think of it this way, while Zuni's at Anandtech's site he wants to deal with Anandtech's community issues. While he's over at Fusetalk, he'll deal with the software issues.

That's the way it was explained to me. The only reason I disagree with it is because that would require the few that actually care enough to point out bugs (this is a good thing) have to make an account over at Fusetalk, and post there, even though it is 100X easier just to post a new thread concerning it here.

But that is the reason for Zuni's response.

i don't see how this has anything to do with FUSETALK , unless it's impossible to rearange the order the forums are listed in.

My thoughts too! It is an ANANDTECH issue here, not a FUSETALK issue.

A FT thing would be "Can I arrange the order the forums are in for my Profile", a AT thing would be "Can you move these topics to the top"
