...I think it would only be fair to gush over how I love my new zune. I bought a refurb-30 gig player and, while the player is physically clunky and looks like something out of the 80s, zunepass is quite simply my favorite thing to have happened to digital music since the original napster. I'm downloading hundreds of tracks a day, listening to new artists, and just experimenting with music in ways I didn't think were legally possible.

My wife also made fun of my zune when I got it, repeating the conan o'brien joke (of a terrorist screaming "zuuuuunnnnnne!!), because the 1st gen hardware really is quite dated in the looks department. But, after using the player and downloading tracks using zunepass, she's sold as well, we'll be picking up another zune.

Lastly, I really like that I have no desire to pirate anymore. I can afford $15, and I can check out new artists without possibly wasting money.. awesome.

I'm totally happy with the Zune Pass, too. Gotta love the free ten downloads a month, plus being able to share with up to three Zunes.

The Zune HD is going to be awesome, methinks.

i turned my gf who is the opposite of a gadget person onto the zune + zunepass.

she fell in love. she finds it so easy to find music and get it on her zune. 95% of what she looks for is available, even a lot of obscure stuff. and its all so well organized on your player (this was key, all tagged perfectly proper) - plus she can use the zune software at work or home to just play music from her pc or laptop.

I've had my Zune + Zune Pass since launch day almost 3 years ago, and I'm still going strong with both the hardware and the software. My wife and sister-in-law are on my plan with their Zunes as well, all for $15/month.

what do you mean by that exactly? Yes, the 30gb Zune was hideous, though interesting in design. I had that, and upgraded to the Zune 120. So much sleeker, better design, it just feels right for the type of player, an HDD-based MP3 player.

The ZuneHD is an awesome concept, but not sure if I'll upgrade to that, the whole storage limit of a flash-based player is a big bummer, especially when coupled with Zune Pass.

And I love Zune Pass. Never thought I'd go for such a service, but after using it for awhile, I got hooked.

Go for it - there are a lot of refurbs out there, the point of entry being $50!

I'm going to have to say that the zunehd, while a nice looking product, isn't worth waiting or. I like traditional hard drives (big ass storage) and buttons. Buttons are awesome. The zune + zune pass ecosystem is so robust that I'd just go for it now, and upgrade your player whenever in the future.

I think I'm going to be a nice husband and get my wife the sleeker 120gb player and keep the 30 for myself. the 30 is fugly, but I just use it in my car anyways. She's more fashionable anyways :)
