30gb Zune - Want to hook it to my Kenwood stereo via AUX. Bought the adapter tonight, and will get it soon.

However, I want to be able to control it wirelessly. What else can I use besides a home dock?

That is the dock. If I get a car-USB charger + this dock + aux adapter, is this the only way I can do it?

That's exactly what I did with my Zune 30 and then 120.

For my ZuneHD I just skipped the dock and charger (the HD has awesome battery life), and use the aux cable I had previously used for the dock.

Zune is easy enough to use without looking, thanks to the touch controls interface. Unless I am looking for specific music, which then becomes a hassle.

Eh. I wish there was a solution like there is for iPod. Makes no sense to me why someone like Alpine wouldn't capitalize on it unless Apple made a deal to prohibit it. The new Camaro and Ford sync are the only cars that allow it so I hear.

Blah, guess I'll have to work with what I have.

i hear kenwood is coming out with a deck that will control both ipod and zune early next year. im kind of hoping, we have both in my house. but really, the aux channel and a dash mouont make it pretty easy to use the zuneHD in the truck. i also have a USB on my current deck that charges my zune while i listen to it, so i dont have to worry about battery. just cables.

I had an original Zune30 in my truck - with the fact that it actually had genuine BUTTONS, I could simple reach over and change tracks without looking. I had a car charger and aux cable, and I just left it in the truck charging 24/7. It synced music wirelessly whenever it was in range of my wifi.

20 bucks more for the BT one is a good deal. i did see the same decks on amazon for a couple bucks under 200 tho, might want to check there as well. im kind of bummed they both support ipod video but not the zune video tho. i have my eye on an in-dash unit with a 3" screen and dvd built in tho. i can get it for about 160 and it sounds great. has USB and aux so i dont lose anything i have now.

DVD support or even CD doesn't bother me, as here we can't legally have it hooked up unless it is set to park only (or neutral for me maybe?) for DVDs...as for CDs, if I have the Zune, I won't listen to them. I'll check the Amazon prices.
