ZoneAlarm Pro is interfering with these forums

I'm using a 30-day trial copy of ZoneAlarm Pro to see how I like it, and so far, it's pretty annoying! Hotmail.com doesn't work unless I disable the Ad blocks and the 3rd Party Cookies blocks, and it's messing with this forum, too. It seems to cause it to work more slowly, and pages (including this page where I'm posting) keep loading as though I'm not logged on. I can tell right away because in my profile I use a very different color scheme. I have the the cookies enabled except for the 3rd party cookies. Plus, even with the Ad blocks turned off, it keeps putting other graphics from other parts of the page where the banner ads should be.

Has anyone else noticed these problems? Would a different Firewall work better than this?

Thanks!

Been using Z/A Pro (3.0.118) for almost a year now - and it causes me no problems on these forums - you must know that a lot of forums are paid for by ads - and if you try to block all of them you sometimes can't even get in. It's part of the freight. So, turn off all that stuff in the Privacy boxes and forget about the ads. There are other ways to deal with them.

'taint the firewall component causing problems and if you find you have to turn off the other stuff you may as well be using ZoneAlarm Free or Plus. There are better proggies for the other functions anway. AdSubtract is nice.

I actually still use 2.x. I tried 3.0 when it came out and did not care for the interface and an annoying flaw still existed when I tried it, to wit: it fails to either pop up the "Allow" box on top of many games or otherwise minimize the game so the options can be set. Occasionally the Space Bar can be used to Allow and Enter to OK and close the hidden box. But most of the time it means rebooting then configuring as the game will then be in ZA's Program list. Sooo, I ask ye, does the latest version (3.125?) still suffer from this flaw?

I use the latest Free version of ZoneAlarm: 3.1.395.

I don't know about other versions, but on this one you can select "Add" and add a new program by manually searching for it and set its internet access on ZoneAlarm before even lauching it.
