ZoneAlarm Config Help

hey all

i just dl zonealarm, and i am a little baffled on how to set it. i didnt feel that the help files did their job. does anyone want to walk me through this? i would like to know how to config for email, icq, norton, some ftps.... stuff like that.

right now i am have set up a network, using internet connection sharing. i have za on the client of ICS... just thought that may help.

I've not used it since I got a router, but it's real simple. Use the default config. When a window pops up asking you if you want to allow the program to access the internet, and you know the program such as Internet Exployer or Norton, just check the box that asks you if you want to let the program access all the time.

Zonealarm will add that program to it's 'approved' list.

It is easier than it may look.

After a while, you will understand Zonealarm. Using it will let you see all the activity on your comp and let you choose. Great program!
 
but what about the allow server stuff, and the pass lock box on the programs???? and what about the security tabs??
