I have an internal PCI ADSL modem.

We have 2 windows 2000 PCs in out house.

They're connected by a cross-over ethernet cable.

Using ICS to share the ADSL connection.

Works flawlessly, until I run zone alarm.

I've tried setting his specific IP to a "trusted" zone. I tried an entire IP range. The network card's IP is set as trusted.

Current setup:

my network card: 0.0.0.0/0.0.0.0: adapter subnet: trusted
housemate: 192.168.0.84: ip address: trusted
housemate again: 192.168.0.2 - 192.168.0.100: ip range: trusted

The result being that the 2nd PC can no longer see the internet.

What am I doing wrong?

Have you tried setting up an IP address on your network adapter other than 0.0.0.0?

Ensured that the Subnet Mask is the same?

I have a similar setup....could never get the ICS working when Zone Alarm was running!

Zonealarm put that 0.0.0.0/0.0.0.0 in by itself. How can I find out what I should put in there instead?

Go into the network options in control panel, find TCP/IP and click on properties and you can set it there!

shove in something like 192.168.0.83 or anything you like within the scope really....and set the Subnet mask to the same as your roomates...if there is not one setup then setup something like 255.0.0.0 or 255.255.255.0
