Zone Alarm screwing up my internet

Everytime I have Zonealarm running, AIM can't connect to server, and Opera doesn't get any connection. However this doesn't affect my games, Counterstrike and Unreal both work while it's running. But still, does anyone else get this? As soon as I exit out of Zonealarm, both AIM and Opera can connect. Any ideas? Thanks.

You need to put in exceptions to your AIM and Opera needs in ZA.

Zonealarm is a firewall, and the purpose of a firewall, is to control what can have access to the internet. It appears you have accidentally blocked Opera and AIM from using the internet. You'll need to go through ZA and give it the appropriate flag.
