Hey,
Ihave a quick question: does the Zone Alarm Antivirus software use much resources? Does it slow my PC down? Is Bitdefender much better?

Thanks!

The rumour is that Zone Alarm AV is the E-Trust Anti-Virus. E-Trust rates below AVG (which is free). If you have paid for it, you may as well use it until your liscence expires.

See: http://www.virus.gr/english/fullxml/default.asp?id=32&mnu=32 for some AV ratings.

As for resource usage, check the reviews on line. Modern systems can handle the current resource pigs (ie Symantec/McAfee) so it shouldn't be a big deal.

Yes, my PC is good enough to handle every antivirus software (A64 Venice 3000+ 1GB DDR400 CL.2 Ram), but I don't want that my windows starts much slower (which is the case with norton) and I don't want that programs and games load longer? So what Antivirus software fits best to me?

I've been very happy with AntiVir - doesn't seem to impact performance on my systems

Zone Alarm gave me nothing but problems when I had it installed on my desktop. I would stay away from it.

I was going to try this, but after reading a bunch of reviews, I decided against it. Their AV part does not seem to be very good and somewhat buggy.
