Well, consider this. It's only 6 liters, which means each piston is very small. Most of the engine internals are probably titanium, so very lightweight. as far as the tach goes...i know much of the internal instrumentation is digital, so...

What is it with people who can't properly encode and post videos? Can't they tell that they screwed up the aspect ratio? It looks like they're trying to show a 4x3 video in a 16x9 window. I couldn't even watch any more than a minute or so with everyone looking squished.

i just realized the R uses a 6 liter V12, and the F uses a 7.3 liter V12. could anyone explain that?
edit: i think i figured it out. THe F and the R use different engines. The R uses a version of the CLK GTR's engine, while the F uses the more mainstream 7.3L AMG V12.

edit2: i've confused myself more. The 6L V12 is the BiTurbo engine... but i don't think its boosted in this application?😕


ok ok ok. all zonda's use the M120 engine, which has been produced in variations from 6.0L to 7.3L. The zonda R does use the 6.0L found in the CLK GTR, albeit a modernized version. The 6.0L runs a higher redline, higher compression, and (obviously) smaller pistons than the 7.3L, allowing it to rev much more quickly.
