Know a good place I can pick up a Sigma 10-20mm for myself? I'd looove a wide lens like that.

Edit: Also, what lens and shutter/aperture/ISO settings for those pictures? Circ polarizer as well I'm guessing?

Edit 2: 1/4s and f/8, got it.

Oh, yeah...

original size+ right click + save image as = free (if not legal)

Yeah, I need to figure out a good balance between a resolution that's good enough for prospective buyers to guage quality, and a resolution that's small enough not to get stolen.

I settled on 1600x1200, which is only 1 megapixel I think. But even that may be too high.

It's also a struggle between my desire to share pretty things for free and making money :(

Just watermark them. My dad has a watermarking program and you can make it so its not too intrusive in the pic. Its called Watermark Factory 2 i think.

Ooooo... thanks :)

smugmug has watermarking. It's just a checkbox on the 'customize gallery' menu.

sigma4less has the 10-20mm for $450 I believe, or you could post a wanted ad on FredMiranda's or Canon Digital Photography Forum's Buy/Sell forums.

Most of the pictures were done with the Sigma 30mm f/1.4. Some were from the Canon 50mm f/1.8. The wider ones are obviously the Sigma 10-20mm.

ISO settings were ISO 100. Aperture f/8. No circular polarizer or ND filter because I don't own any filters (gotta get at least a circ. polarizer and UV though).

I just checked. Watermarking is only for people with a Pro account I think, because I don't have that option since I use a Standard account :(

Make sure you negotiate to maintain the copyrights of your photos, so that you can use them as reference for future work, and possibly use their site as reference with the finished product using your photos. This is far more important then the actual money at first, to build yourself a professional portfolio.

:Q Those pictures are awesome! How did you get the water in the falls to look like that?

EDIT: And you should get the mods to change your user icon to this!

Stock Photo Price Calculator

Ooooo... this is really helpful. Thanks! Is this the amount that the photographer should recieve, or the price the photo should sell at through an agency? Most agencies take 40% or 60% of a photo's selling price, so should I be taking off an agency fee for these?

Erm, which one? :)

The originals are not with me right now, but I should be back with them in a day or two.

I doubt you could print them to big huge poster sizes though... unless they were viewed from far away. There's only so much you can stretch 8MP :(

Nice! It's sad to see a Tokina 12-24mm go, but 10mm is a pretty big difference :)
