That's the best access? Dig, I've never had Netflix. So, I should subscribe to Netflix? This would be basically an internet feed, on demand? To my computer and/or BR player? Please indulge a goddamn noob. Thank you.

I don't have Amazon Prime, either. Is this accessible through that?

have you been living under a rock for the last 10 years?

are you an extraterrestrial using ATOT to learn about the human race?

the show started out GREAT then season 2 was slow as shit. season 3 was okay but got really dumb. i stopped watching at the mid season hiatus of season 4 because it was just so fucking stupid. my brother to this day keeps trying to get me to watch it but whenever i see the commercials for it while watching better call saul it looks SSSSSOOOOO bad still.

fear the walking dead looks 100x worse.

walking dead would be MUCH better binge watching though so you don't have to wait a week to watch an episode where the last 2 minutes is all that progresses the story.

If the OP is just getting OTA broadcasts now, he might want to go with a cord cutting solution like Sling or Sony Vue. Then you can get live broadcasts of some basic cable channels plus record. It won't get you archived shows but if all he wants is TWD, buying used DVDs of the early seasons is probably the cheapest way to go.

I enjoy the show, I just find it's gotten a bit stagnant, something huge and game changing needs to happen, it's just same old. But at same time it's different enough that I still want to see what happens next, so I keep watching. The last season kinda leaves you hanging.

A lot of these shows are better to binge watch one season at a time though. I tend to watch during night shifts at work if it's not busy. A great perk to my job. :p

Netflix it. Stop after season 2...or before. It just gets progressively dumber.
I enjoyed the first season, I stopped watching during season 2 once they got to the farm. I just couldn't take it anymore. I have zero desire to watch any more of it. There was just a huge drop in quality in season 2.

People around here are nuts for the show. It's filmed in and around my town. One of the prominent cast members lived in my apartment building for years while working on the show.

Anyway, I watched the first couple seasons and really didn't like it. What I've seen of the show since then is just repetitive and stupid.

Breaking Bad, Better Call Saul, and Silicon Valley..
.that's good TV.

I excluded Game of Thrones because the most recent season was absolutely terrible.
I'm very slowly working my way through Breaking Bad, am midway through Season Three.

Now, I saw a thread here titled "Better Call Saul," (never opened and had a peak at the thread) and actually thought they were just talking about that repeat cameo in Breaking Bad. Makes sense that a show was created from this because it's one of the best parts of Breaking Bad, and that's what I assume BCS is (just my guess!).

I was unaware of Silicon Valley... I'm just starting The Wire (bought the complete DVD set not long ago).

I'll probably look into getting the first season or two of The Walking Dead on DVD, I assume that's what it's called, right?

It's definitely got some of the magic and there are a few episodes that have a Breaking Bad feel, but it is a very different show. He's playing the same person at a completely different point in his life where he almost isn't the same character (doesn't even go by the same name). Of course, there's a bit more emphasis on comedy but it's still a drama. Another favorite side character features VERY prominently. I'm not disappointed in the slightest.

Season 2 is where it tanked -- they were on a farm and NOTHING happened.

I simply DO NOT understand the mass appeal for this show. It's horribly written (I realize it's following a comic book) and even more poorly acted (I've see highschool plays with better delivery of lines)

I'm not going to go out of my way to defend the show. Prior to last season I think I binged it since I hadn't watched the show before. But the number of people watching just got too high to continue ignoring it.

Anyway, wasn't season 2 the one with the traitor - the guy who plays the Punisher on Dare Devil. That was a major theme, or was that season 3.

Not necessarily dumber... just repetitive. Zombies are now a distant backdrop and the story lines just involve bad guys vs good guys. Each season is a new group of bad guys.

I just finished seasons 1-5 on Netflix last night and I can honestly say I'm looking forward to watching season 6 if it comes to Netflix.

One thing I didn't like which drove me nuts about TWD and Dexter
was the amount of stupid and silly mistakes the characters make that cause a ton of unnecessary drama. Dexter was much worse in this regard though.

Watched the 1st episode of Season One last night. I don't know how much of this I can take! I live alone in a 2 story 106 year old house. Um, this thing is spooky!

I figure I'll finish watching Season One. How many episodes are in it?

I didn't like the way it started, that conversation between the two deputies in the car just before they got the APB. It got better. All in all I guess you'd call it a white knuckle thriller so far.

The wiki says only 6 episodes in season 1. Season 2 has 13 episodes and I think the next 3 have 16 episodes.

I know what you mean about the very beginning of the 1st episode. I actually quit watching during the deputies talking in the car. I'm glad I tried watching again months later though.

Don't listen to the people who gave up after season 2 or 3. They don't know what they are missing. The Governor is one of the greatest bad guys in a TV show which they encounter in season 3 and 4 along with new characters to join Rick's group like Mahonne. Season 5 is the cannibals which starts out slow but the last half is some of the best TV around with Carol the Assassin.

It is finally getting stagnant with season 6 but still worth watching.

It's really not about the zombies as it is human vs human and there are some damn good "bad" humans in the show :)

My wife and I watched a few episodes on Netflix from season 1. It wasn't bad at first, but got old quick. Just the other night, I happened to see that it was on tv, so I tuned in. I found it even harder to suspend disbelief at some of the things going on. Apparently, all of the humans who are still alive are the really stupid humans. I think it's because I try to think what I'd do if I was in their shoes... and it's certainly not what they're doing.
