Again with the rice cooker... good find! This one looks pretty different from the 5 cup Zo I used. It looks a bit more like my Zo 3 cup micom cooker.

So are Zo rice cookers good brand? I bought a Panasonic brand rice cooker (thinking Panasonic is a good brand) and it sucks. NEVER buy a ricer cooker with a glass lid.

Ahh yes, you must've gotten the cheapo Panasonic. I have one of those too. Always burns rice on the bottom. :)

The Zojirushi Microcomputer models (NS-JCC10, NS-JCC18, etc.) are very good. Not because of the fuzzy logic computer stuff, but because of the design of the rice cooker itself and the quality of the inside pot. No worries about ingesting aluminum, no worries about the inside peeling after a few years of daily use.

Nice find Joker. Zojirushi is the way to go for rice cookers.

We have one that has the "fuzzy neuro" technology. Don't know what the heck that is, but this thing has
more features than some of my electronic gizmos. It has a digital readout display. Fast cooking feature.
Programmable. It even has a timer that counts down the minutes til your rice is ready.

The one posted here appears to be a lower model than the one we have (less features, but then again
it's about half the cost of what we paid for ours). Yes, we're serious about our rice.

I think anyone purchasing a Zojirushi will be pleased with it.

that's awfully expensive for rice cooker that small
5 cups of rice, after cooking, is an awful lot of rice unless you're cooking for the Brady Bunch.
Or unless you're Mormon...:Q

It seems Zojirushi are like the best for things like rice cookers, or those water boliers.
They are like the most expensive too !!

Anyways, I bought one of those cheap 5 cup for $59.99 2 yrs ago because the Zojirushi was $99.99.
And still works.

Love my Zojirushi... paid $99 and it was worth every penny. As mentioned earlier, those glass-cover rice cookers suck...

heh...apparently at a local supermarket all the Japanese assembled Zojirushi's were sold out. The fuzzy logic ones of course =) I've never owned a glass cover one but just the concept of a weak glass cover and the fact that I live in a dorm don't seem to gel very well in my head...

Elephant brand is very good (thats how I call it :)) One thing is that some of this cookers only let you to cook rice. I have a low tech Tatung rice cooker and it lets me steam ribs or fish and cook rice at the same time :)
