Zizoomfly VS Newegg

I'm a long time faithful newegg customer due to low prices in the past. Now newegg has been charging shipping on almost every item (used to be free or .99 cents) With the price of shipping added I don't really think I save much money like I used to.

Zipzoomfly was another place that I used to buy from in the past and I just went to their site again and compare the prices and it comes out almost the same on several items. Plus Zipzoomfly offer free second day shipping. Looks like I'll be browsin through zipzoomfly first before newegg from now on and see which one will save me more money.

I stopped buying online all together ...... err .... wait 🙂 Oh and just for the record, this thread belongs in OT 🙂

If you want your order asap, stick with newegg. I ordered a video card from zip zoom fly because of the low price and the free 2nd day shipping. only catch was that it took them 3 days to process and ship.

happen to newegg before. nothing new.

Actually, I've been tracking prices on memory, and a certain video card. NewEgg was cheaper than ZZF, even with shipping. I eventually went with outpost for the memory, and NE ran out of stock on the video card, so I had to go with ZZF anyway.

I've had good luck with NE's shipping; I'll see how shipping with ZZF goes this week.

What is the return policy of Chiefvalue compared to Newegg? If I get a Lcd monitor and there is a problem with the pixels, can I return it?

I found ZZF cheaper on a mb + cpu + heatsink I bought 2 weeks ago by probably $25 combined... In January ZZF was $15 cheaper on a 512MB stick of HyperX 2-2-2-5. Newegg isn't quite as agressive in their pricing these days it seems.

I'm still kind of fuzzy on this. I kept on thinking chiefvalue is own by newegg. They're actually the same company.

I just have another proof, I ordered 2 items from chiefvalue 2 days ago, and one is being shipped from NJ and one shipped from CA.
Newegg just had a new warehouse in NJ like a year ago, so... maybe they're related.

Kato,
Pretty interesting read at the BBB.

Nicky,
However, I think this post is still rightfully placed here in the H/D forum.
"threads of this nature belong in OT in case you havnt noticed" (???What is OT???)😀😀😀

i've orders some stuffs from chiefvalue also, i was impressed and will look to them for future orders.... i honestly could care less if their ownedy by newegg as long as their prices stay low 🙂

I Used to only order from newegg, but now i shop around and still endup going back to newegg most of the time. They shipping is still the fastest out thier. With no rush order I get most of my stuff in 1 day if I order it in the morning. Thier prices are still competive, they just don't "always" beat everyone else.

ZZF does one thing that pisses me off. They list crazy high prices for stuff they can't even ship yet and then lower it back to normal a few days after they can ship it. First it makes you think they actually have it to see and then they really gank some people so they can get it 1 day before everyone else. Newegg list stuff when they have it and the usually stays the same.

I look at the deal sites not alot more.

In before the lock!

Zipzoomfly rocks

No problems quick shipping, cheaper than newegg for many many things.

Downside: SMALL selection, not as nice picts on the web site.

But if you know what you want and they have it, go for it!
